Rock boys are we

Watched the JCT Final yesterday on TV and I had to admire the sportsmanship shown by both sets of supporters in observing complete silence as a player addressed a penalty or conversion. Right down to the kick in the final minute which was ultimately to determine the destiny of the Cup.

Laudable behaviour which brought back memories.

Pity this sense of fair play doesn't cross over into The Beautiful Game.

The irony of it all is that typically it is policed on match-day by bruisers, scoundrels and ruffians who spent the rest of the week bullying the weak and stealing money off their grannies.
